There will be a meeting of  Grainthorpe Parish Council on Wednesday 13th September, 2023 at  7.00pm in the Chapel Schoolroom.  Please note new start time of 7:00 pm.

1. Apologies.  Please notify the Clerk if you are going to be absent.  Reasons for absence are not minuted but need to be accepted by the members present.  Tel 01472 812730 or email Grainthorpeparishcouncil@hotmail.co.uk
2. Open meeting for members of the public – approx.. 15 mins (if present).
3. Open meeting for County Council and District Council Reps.  (if present)
4. Clerk to receive declarations of pecuniary or non pecuniary interest on any Agenda item in accordance with Localism Act and the Council’s Code of Conduct and Standing Orders.
5. Agree and sign Minutes of previous meeting (12.7.2023).  Date changed from 5th to 12th  due to Cllr commitments.
6. Matters Arising
i) Electronic speed sign for village –costs?
ii) Hours purchased from web master to help Clerk in tidying up web site, extremely successful,  Web site is much more accessible for Clerk now and a further 5 hours of help have been purchased for any ongoing problems encountered.  Cllr Nicholls now also has access to website for Village information to be added, but some training from webmaster recommended.
7.   Financial
i) To approve and sign any cheques required;
ii) To approve financial statement submitted;
iii) Approve new Financial Regs – (forwarded)
8. Parish Matters.
i) Co-option of Councillors, we have five vacancies, notice on web site and one on notice board.  Two people have expressed an interest, they have been invited to attend this meeting.
ii) Cllrs to assess position for village signs, any further progress made?
iii) Road restrictions Austen Fen – any further views regarding ‘advisory signs’?
iv) New mower – discussion.
v) Request for white lines near War Memorial, due to dangerous driving.
9. Planning.
 N/062/1670/23 -Wild Acres Fen Lane – discuss
Cllr Hibberd to report on matters on Poors End which he has been dealing with during August, also site on main road.
